Communique: AWJN 2024 World Water Day Events

This year, the World Water Day will be commemorated on 22^nd March 2024.

The theme of this year’s commemoration will be Water for Peace.

Africa Water Justice Network, invites its members to participate to the set-up activities as listed below;

Convene a Press Conference in selected African Countries on World Water Day
Participate in the X – Spaces/Webinar discussion with a panel at 11am GMT | 14.30 EAT on 22^nd March 2024.
Participate in the campaign; #OurWaterOurRightOurlivelihood | #worldWaterDay2024. The campaign led by CAPPA runs from 18^th March – 22^nd March 2024. Across social media platforms.
Share a short video, 4 – 6 minutes max speaking on Water Governance, Water for Peace and the Prepaid Water Meters that are intended to be rolled out by African States in collaboration with Water Multi-nationals.
